Geography
UNDERSTAND THE WORLD & CHANGE IT FOR THE BETTER

What is geography and why do we study it?

Geography is the study of people and the planet. Driven by the need to understand the connections between humanity and the Earth, geographers build a skill set that enables them to make sense of the changing world in which they live.

Studying geography renders a new frame in which to see the world, from the daily surge of societal issues to the daunting prospect of climate change. The geographical journey at Thomas Tallis provides powerful knowledge to tackle the challenges that affect all people and all places. Clear geographical understanding can change the world for the better.

Geography Threshold Concepts

Threshold concepts are the big ideas that help to develop a deeper understanding of geography. They are not meant to be instantly understood.  Threshold concepts require critical thought in order to become cognisant of the interconnectedness between people, place and planet.
