At Thomas Tallis, Geography is a fascinating subject that takes us from glaciers in the last Ice Age to volcano in the Pacific Ocean as well as studying what cattle farmers in India are doing with their dung!
Everything you did this morning relates to different parts of Geography: from what you are for breakfast, the journey you had to school and trainers you were wearing at break time. Geographers would understand all of this from the perspective of the local (how we are impacted by the world) to the global (how we also impact the world we live in). Fieldwork is important in Geography, and we will try to measure anything we can; from pebbles to boulders, shops to car parks, rainfall to footfall. |
