What is synopticity?
Synopticity is the quality of connecting apparently separate threads of the subject and showing an awareness of how they relate, link and connect with each other to give a comprehensive understanding of the whole.

2. What will be assessed?
Your resource booklet will be based on a geographical issue within a place-based context that links to the three synoptic themes and is rooted in two or more of the compulsory content areas. All questions in the paper draw synoptically on knowledge and understanding from different parts of the compulsory course.
